As the world is becoming more advanced in technology, more energy is being used to keep up with the changing requirements. At the current rate at which energy is being used, the world will shortly come to an end of fossil fuels - the world's primary energy resource. You think you can drive, think again! You think you can step up the gas, think again! It’s not about running your car on gasoline, it’s all about chemicals. No motors, no engines… just brains. “CFS” is here to sweep you off your feet. Forget petrol, diesel, CNG its time to make your car run on baking powder and vinegar and count the meters by using your own designed car.

SO LETS GO FOR IT……..

Team formation

CFS is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students of engineering.
Team can have maximum of 2 students.
No student can be part of more than one team.
It is not necessary that the students forming a team should be from the same college.
There is no restriction on the number of teams from the same college.

Rules

The car can be of any dimensions.
Points will be given according to the number of levels cleared by the car.
Only one trial will be given.(Updated)
No Trial Runs will be allowed.(Updated)
Only baking powder and vinegar chemicals are allowed as a fuel, use of potassium permangnate(KMnO4) is prohibited.
Car must run only by the chemical used i.e. it should not gain power from any other source.
There are 20 points for the design of the car.
There is a ball of plastic at level 6, and the cars should touch the ball to clear the level.
Each level has given points in the track diagram, so the teams who collected highest points wins.
Bonus points are awarded to the teams whose car comes back to Level 5(L5) after striking the ball at Level 6(L6), the cars reaching level B1 will be awarded 30 points and those reaching level B2 will be awarded 60 points.
If the teams have same points then time will be the winning factor i.e. less times wins.
So make the car, design it according to track, use fuel quantity according to the track length so that u can earn both points of level6 and bonus and if you rotate the diagram of track it is of symbol “question mark(?)”.

Violation of any of the above rules may lead to disqualification of the team.
The organizers reserves the right to change/update the rules of the contest at any point of time and will do their best to inform the participants of the same.
However, it is ultimately the responsibility of the teams to keep themselves updated.

The teams will be ranked on the basis of the points earned by the car.
