It has been mankind's inherent and unique instinct to imagine that has ably supported it in all its innovative endeavors. There is an Innovator hidden in all of us. We believe that the undying urge to make the world a better place to live in is the mother of all innovations. Chem-porter will serve as a platform for the entire active and dormant inventor from all over the country to present their novel contraptions in any Chemical engineering and other related fields, which they believe can cause a breakthrough in human life. Emphasis is placed upon innovation, besides aspects like creativity, marketability and technical superiority.

Team formation

Chem-porter is open to all students of engineering, science and pharmacy branches. Team can have a maximum of 4 students. No student can be part of more than one team. It is not necessary that the students forming a team should be from the same college. There is no restriction on the number of team from the same college.

The event would be conducted in two phases

PHASE I

Submission of abstract of project.
The abstract should either in form of Word Document or PDF, less than 2000 words, Times New Roman, 12 font size with default spacing.
The abstract may contain pictures and graphs.
The abstract of the project should be sent before 12th March to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with subject of mail: ‘Chem-porter’.

Based on the abstracts’ evaluation, best 20 projects would be selected for PHASE II.

PHASE II

Explanation of the project.
Hard copies/Posters/Laptops/Graphs etc. can be used
Electric connections and other basic requisites will be provided as per the availability and on first come first serve basis.
Any of the projects presented should not make use of hazardous chemicals or explosives.
Violation of the above rules can lead to rejection.
The organizers reserve the right to change/update the rules of the contest at any point of time and will do their best to inform the participants of the same. However, it is ultimately the responsibility of the teams to keep themselves updated.
