Here we plan for you to put forward those technologies that have changed the foundations of human life for better or worse. We invite you to break all the rules, let your imagination run wild and think beyond boundaries. ExploraVision is a competition for all students of engineering, science and pharmacy branches.

It is designed to encourage students to combine their imagination with their knowledge of science and technology to explore visions of the future. A team of students select a technology, research how it works and why it was invented, and then project how that technology may change in the future. They must then identify what breakthroughs are required for their vision to become a reality and describe the positive and negative consequences of their technology on society. Students may focus on things as simple as ballpoint pens and as complex as satellite communications.

Example : the way we transferred data using the cables to connect two computers was replaced by floppy drives,compact dics, dvd, pendrives,portable hard disks and the latest in data transfer being Bluetooth . What could be the future of data transfer ???...will all the constraints of ranges, cables and storage space be eliminated??..use your imagination and let the world know.

Rules:

• No. of Participants: maximum 3 per Team.
• No student can be a part of more than one team.
• It is not necessary that the students forming a team should be from the same college.
• There is no restriction on the number of teams from the same college.

Event Phases: This event contains two phases.

Phase I: Submission of abstract

• The abstract should either be in form of word document, less than 1000 words, Times New Roman, 12 font size, with default spacing.
• The abstract should be sent before 12th March,2010 to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with subject of mail: ‘exploravision’.
• Based on the abstracts’ evaluation, best 10 would be selected for PHASE II
• Selected paticipants will be intimated by 13th March, 2010.

Phase II: Final Round

• Students have to give a powerpoint presentation(Microsoft Powerpoint 2003 only)/flash presentation/series of web pages based on the abstract that they have submitted.
• Time alloted for presentation: 8 minutes
• Time alloted for Q/A: 5 minutes
• Picture clippings and graphs may be used.
• We will provide computer, LCD, OHP, Mike and other requisites for presentation.

The violation of above rules can lead to rejection.
The organizers reserve the right to change/update the rules of the contest at any point of time and will do their best to inform the participants of the same.
However, it is ultimately the responsibility of the teams to keep themselves updated.
